Rebecca Sullivan, 101, of Terre Haute passed away Friday May 31, 2019 at 2:50 pm at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. She was born November 3, 1917 in Vigo County to Mathew Hilbird and Nettie (Rynerson) Hilbird. Rebecca is survived by her son Carl Sullivan (Mary) of Terre Haute; a granddaughter, Carla Walton (John); great-grandchildren, Madison Sullivan, Maria Walton, and Hayley Walton; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Sullivan, who passed away in September 2005; they were married for 68 years. Rebecca is also preceded in death by her grandson, Doug Sullivan; brothers, James Hilbird, William Hilbird, and Ed Hilbird; sisters, Diana Tharp, Lilly Curtis, and Edith Moody. Family was very important to Rebecca and it always came first. Visitation is Tuesday June 4, 2019 from 11:00 until 2:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Blyde officiating.
