Reba Violet McClain Shaw, 93, of Terre Haute, IN and a member of Union Christian Church was called home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 28, 2016. There she will be reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert Charles Shaw. Reba was born August 1, 1922 in Cumberland County Illinois to Henry and Stella McClain who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Orval McClain and Howard McClain as well as two sisters, Josie Boswell and Carolyn Nelson. Reba is survived by her two children, Sandra S. LeMaster (Robert) and Robert L. Shaw (Barbara); four grandchildren and their family: Brian LeMaster (Kelli), Steven LeMaster (Lindsey) and their sons Kasen and Kellan, Rob Shaw (Melissa) and their son Caleb, Tammy Hall (Rick) and their children Elizabeth Williams (Mike), Allen Hall, Miranda Whitted, and Veronica Whitted. Reba is also survived by five siblings and two brothers-in- laws all living in Illinois: John McClain, Mary Sparks, Lelah Kroenlein, Dona Light, Marilyn Ray (Leon) and Gary Nelson. Surviving Reba are several nieces and nephews. Reba's family gives thanks to God for her life and the privilege that was ours to have such a loving, caring, giving, faithful woman in our life. Services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel Friday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be before the funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mark Grayless will officiate the service and interment will be at Toledo Cemetery. The family wants to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of ViaQuest who provided loving hospice care to Reba during the final months of her life.
