Raymond E. Bedwell, 84, of Terre Haute passed away on July 21, 2019 in his residence surrounded by family.  He was born February 15, 1935 in Terre Haute to John and Oma Bedwell.   Ray was the youngest of eight children.  He lived his life fearlessly and unapologetically.  His "never give up" attitude was so inspiring to many.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as an expert mushroom hunter.  He also enjoyed playing euchre, and  loved to tell stories of his past escapades and adventures. Ray was a proud graduate of Toledo Ohio Meat Packing School.   Most of all Ray loved spending time with his family.

Ray is survived by sons Raymond Bedwell, Jr. (Peggy) and Don Bedwell (Sherry), daughters Mari White (Robert) and Kathy Garrison-Schneider (Bill), grandchildren Dustin White (Jessica), Zachary Garrison, Spencer Garrison, Donovan Bedwell, Devin Elmore (Ian), Chloè  Bedwell, and Bradan Spencer, and great-grandson Bradley Raymond White.  He is also survived by his sister Christina Lowe (Donald) and several nieces and nephews who all adored him.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Claudine Bedwell, brothers James Bedwell (Vivian), John Bedwell, Jr. (Rosie), sisters Violet Moody (Earl), Sarah Waggoner (Emery), Eunice Wright (Frank), Catherine Goodman (Ben), Bernice Bedwell, and son-in-law Brian Garrison.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the team of caregivers Cindy Taylor and  "Tracey's Girls" for their caring and devotion to Ray.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 26. 2019 from  12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.   Services will follow visitation.  Reverend  John Moody will be officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
