Ramona Jean Baratto Smith, 79, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Clinton and Terre Haute passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024.  She was born December 11, 1944, in Terre Haute to Remo Baratto and Sadie Vercelli Baratto. Most of all, she loved being with her family.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ramona was married to David for 59 years and is survived by her children Shirl Romero (David), Kelly Clark (Chris), David Smith, Jennifer Rady (Jeremy), and Stephen Smith (Priscilla); eleven grandchildren and their spouses, three great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister Virginia Toppas, and sister-in-law Sandra Surber.  She is preceded in death by her husband, David and her parents.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Church located at 2405 South 7th Street, Terre Haute from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Father Todd Riebe will officiate.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
