Prabha Dinkar Lele, 90, of Terre Haute passed away at 6:45 a.m. May 10, 2015, in her daughter's home. She was born in Nagpur, India on March 15, 1925. Prabha married D.V. Lele on November 24, 1946. She was a homemaker and a volunteer worker for family planning in India for many years. Prabha was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Shashank Lele; of her nine brothers and sisters, only one younger brother remains. She is survived by her son, Prakash; his wife, Neelam; daughter, Rashmi; her husband, Dilip Abhyankar; grandchildren, Tanmay Lele, Pushkar Lele, Rekha Lele, Gaurav Lele, Haruko Lele, Rahul Abhyankar, and Priya Abhyankar. In the last few years of her life, she was accompanied by her beloved caretaker, Wanda Umphries. A private ceremony will be conducted at the Debaun Funeral Home later this week.
