Peggy Charlene Waggoner, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025.  She was born October 26, 1942, to Wayne Sarvis and Edith Mae Hassman.  Peggy's family was everything to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.  She especially loved watching her grandchildren participate in sports and always looked forward to the yearly family party.  On Saturday's she would go out to eat with her daughter Sarah. Peggy enjoyed owning and working at her daycare where she was able to share her contagious smile with many people.

Peggy is survived by her children Sarah Rogers (Robert) and Emery E. Waggoner (Tammy); siblings Barbara DeMott, Terry Sarvis, Karla Sarvis, and Rita Robinson (Francis); grandchildren Heather Lawrence, Emery C. Waggoner (Holly), Katie Prentice (Jason), Vada Long, and Joe McDonough; great-grandchildren Bentley, Wyatt, Tucker, Beau, Hunter, Hayden, Chrystle, Jackie, Jessica, Jade, Emma, and Emery III; brother-in-law Ray Waggoner (Kim); and sister-in-law Beverly Waggoner.  She is also survived by her beloved cat Gigi and her birds.

She is preceded in death by both parents; husband Emery Waggoner, Sr.; and several siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Elara Caring Hospice.  The family would specifically like to thank Shannon Goodrich, Michelle Eslinger, Sarah Higgins, Sarah Young, and Julia Price; and Care Forth Nurses Christina and Gabrielle; for taking such excellent care of Peggy.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 19 from 11:00am-1:00pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00pm Elder Chuck Cooley will officiate.  Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
