Peggy I. Bays, 90, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 in Southwood Healthcare. She was a retired supervisor from CBS. She was born January 15, 1929 in Terre Haute to Lester and Chloe (Knew) Haney. Peggy is survived by her daughters, P\Beverly Bays of Terre Haute and Barbara Schwartz (Hugh) of Morristown, TN; son, Bud Bays (Lisa) of Terre Haute; sisters, Marsha Gilbert of Terre Haute and Barbara Rohner of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Brian Boyd, John Diekhoff, Dwayne Diekhoff, Amy McGill, Tony Schwartz, Amanda Wrightsman, Chris Flynn and Trisha Bays; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Cameron, Maceè, Mariah, Heather, Kendra, Alexis, Hailee, Brandon, Anthony, Ansley, Payton, Claire, Emma, Bentley, and Bryanna; great great-grandchildren, Christian, Jacob, Carter, Anthony, and Adrian and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William R. Bays who died January 14, 2002. Peggy loved traveling. Visitation will be Thursday August 8, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating.
