Pauline Wilson, 102 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10:25 AM at Westminster Village Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Sullivan County, IN on September 25, 1914 to Walter N. Asbury and Mary Elizabeth Boston Asbury. Mrs. Wilson was a retired school teacher and Principal, and in fact was the first Principal at Fuqua Elementary School. She graduated high school in Hymera and also from Indiana State Teachers' College. Her memberships include the First Baptist Church of Terre Haute. She grew up as a child in Lewis, IN, but spent all of her adult life in Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her husband David H. Wilson on July 14, 1988, as well as her parents and her brother, Paul L. Asbury and his wife Louise. Her survivors include a nephew, William Asbury and his wife Anne of Evansville, IN, and two great nephews, John Asbury and family of Atlanta, GA and Joe Asbury and family of Santa Claus, IN. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Bernie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Cemetery in Lewis, IN. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 12:30 -1:30 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
