Patrick Richard 'Pat" Slusser, 54, of Terre Haute passed away April 29, 2013 in the emergency room of Regional Hospital at 1:47 a.m. He was born on April 12, 1959 in Hololulu, the Territory of Hawaii. Pat was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved fishing, boating, deer, turkey, and mushroom hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School, Class of 1979. Following graduation he enlisted in the US Navy. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local # 133. Pat is survived by his parents, Jim and Carol (Ryan) Slusser of Terre Haute; two daughters Adrienne Hayes and husband Jeremy of Brazil, Kelly Slusser and her companion Tony Gabbard of Terre Haute; two sons Scott Slusser of Everett, Washington and Henry Corrales of lake Tahoe, Nevada. His sister is Melinda Rader, to whom he called Mel, and her husband Keith. His six grandsons are Joseph Hayes, Dillon Hayes, Kyle Hayes, Levi Hayes, Dayton Gabbard, and Rylan Gabbard; the mother of his children Susan Berry, four nephews and their spouses, one niece who he caller little bitty or itty bitty and her fiancé, five great nephews, six great nieces, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by a son Tim Berry, grandparents George and Ruby Howe Slusser, Elnora Ryan, and Carl and Alma Ryan. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military rites by VFW# 972.
