Patrick John "PJ" Burns, 60 died March 1, 2022, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  PJ was born in Terre Haute on October 17, 1961, to Richard and Donna Burns and was married to Melissa (Fitch) Burns in September of 1988

A member of Carpenter's Union 133, he made a career of a craft he loved – neatness counted.  He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time fishing and hunting and tending to his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael, and nephew Daniel Burns.

He is survived by his wife Melissa, his canine companion Finley, brothers Dan (Carol) Burns, Tim (Laura) Burns, sister Molly (Scott) Liebermann, nieces, Alyson Burns, Sarah Burns, Anna & Emily Liebermann and nephew Ryan Liebermann.  Special thanks to lifelong friend Dean Doti, for his support and friendship.

Melissa would like to thank the medical care provide by Dr. M. Jabbour and the Providence Medical Group and Doctors R. Mehta M. Fischer, and the entire team of IU Health and further acknowledge the great care and services provided by the THR Outpatient Services Team, especially, Mary, Kendra, LeeAnn, and Jennifer, their compassion and commitment to PJ's care was invaluable.  And finally, the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care and especially Linda.
