Obituary

Noel Perry Kerns, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Union Regional Hospital. He was born on March 1, 1937, in Terre Haute to Ernest Harold Kerns and Eileen Edna (Wagner) Kerns.
Noel is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rosalie Carole (Fredericks) Kerns; his son, Brian Kerns (Lori); his daughter, Cheryl Cook (Troy); his son, Kevin Kerns (Michelle); and his son, Travis Kerns (Jeeana). He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Isaacs (Kerns); his brothers, Raymond Kerns and Larry Kerns; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Kerns. He is survived by his brother, Donald Kerns. His grandchildren include Shannon Kerns, Kristy Unton (Chris), Justin Kerns (Patty), Austin Kerns, Joel Cook (Jody), Jessica Dowell (Jason), Lindsey Wolfe, Travis Kerns, Jaxon Kite, and Jaycee Kite. His great-grandchildren are Hanna, Mason, Rosalie, Landon, Lydia, Adilynn, Jayce, Isabella, and William. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Noel was incredibly proud of and treasured all of his family. He could recall each of their accomplishments, birthdays, and anniversaries at any given time. Noel retired from Weston Paper after 32 years as a Production Scheduler and was a longtime member of Faith Wesleyan Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Norris officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
