Obituary

Nina R. Loudermilk, 81, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 2:42 pm in her residence. She was born May 27, 1934 in Clay City, IN to Roy McKee and Haddis (Bollinger) McKee. Nina is survived by her daughters, Diana Scobee of Terre Haute, Vickie Carter and husband Ted of Terre Haute, Paula Swearingen and husband Robert of Brazil, and Lora Edwards Anderson of Terre Haute; a son, Gregory Loudermilk of Terre Haute; a sister, Geneva Sharpe; brothers, Leland McKee, Dale McKee, and Joseph McKee; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend of 41 years, Jewell Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack L. Loudermilk, who died September 24, 2006; a daughter, Ruth A. Franks; sisters, Helen Harden and Mary Richey, and brothers, Walter McKee, Roy "Wendell" McKee, Lester McKee, and Cecil McKee. She was a member of the Lewis Seventh Day Adventist Church, she was also a past member of the Red Hat Society and she loved gardening, cooking, and camping and was also learning to crochet. Most of all, Nina loved spending time with her family at family gatherings. Visitation will be Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Ernest Peckham officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City, IN. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Seventh Day Adventist Church, 9950 E State Road 246 Lewis, IN, 47858.
