Modena Fry, 83, lifelong Vigo County resident passed away March 25, 2015 at Union Hospital. She was born July 4, 1931 to Kenneth and Mildred (Hancock) Seeman in Pimento, IN. Mrs Fry was retired from Indiana State University where she was an administrative secretary to the Dean of the Home Economics Department. She is survived by a son, Aaron Fry and his wife Kate of Terre Haute; two daughters Brenda Caudill and her husband William of Mt. Washington, KY, and Ronda Hennis and her husband Randy of Farmersburg, IN; two granddaughters Kristina Ladika and Paige Hennis of Farmersburg, IN; three great-grandchildren Alexander Beeson, Lillian Fry, and Lola Fry all of Terre Haute; sisters-in-law Helen Seeman of Jasper, IN and Betty Robinson of Clayton, IN; brother-in-law Earl Fry of Terre Haute, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fry on January 15, 2008, her parents, her brother Theron Seeman of Jasper, IN, sister-in-law Edna Fry of Terre Haute and brother-in-law George Robinson of Clayton, IN, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret and Fred Marts of Terre Haute, and her husbands parents Pearly and Myrtle Fry of Farmersburg, IN. Mrs. Fry was a lifelong member of Oregon Baptist Church and was the church organist for more than 60 years. She was also a member and Past Worthy Matron of Pimento OES# 516 and a member of Job's Daughters Bethel # 6. For many years she had been active in 4-H. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with Rev. Fred Harrison officiating with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Visitation was Friday from 4-8 p.m. with and OES Memorial service at 7 p.m. Entombment will be in Roselawn Chapel of Memories. Online condolences may be offered at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
