Michael C. Walker, 67, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday July 20, 2017 at 8:42 am in Union Hospital. Michael was born September 29, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph Walker and Elizabeth (O'Day) Walker. He is survived by his daughters Molly Webster (Matt) of Cincinnati, Katie Parker of Indianapolis and Betsy Walker (Scott Blinzler) of Terre Haute; sisters Judy Catanese (Blase) and Jacquie Denehie; brothers Pat Walker (Grace) and Tim Walker; and grandchildren Emily, Jack, Sam, Max, Chase, Susan and Mason. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Susan (Shelton) Walker and brothers Tom and Joe Walker. He was a 1967 graduate of Schulte High School and went on to graduate from Indiana State University in 1980 with a degree in Environmental Health. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War in Germany. He worked over twenty years as the Distribution and Materials Manager for Pillsbury in Terre Haute and Golden Valley Microwave Foods in Minneapolis, MN. He finished his career working for ConAgra in Garner, NC. Mike enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He spent his free time watching sports, reading books and listening to music. He had interest in all sports but his personal favorite was golfing and he thoroughly enjoyed the years he spent as the proud coach of The High Flyers. He loved to read non-fiction books and was quite the history buff. He was known by all to be an admirer of great music and in particular an aficionado of Sir Paul McCartney so much so that his children thought of him as 'Uncle Paul'. He was a member of the Sycamore Club and a Celebration of Life will be held there beginning at 4 pm on Saturday August 19, 2017. The address is 200 Heritage Dr., Terre Haute, IN 47803.
