Michael Edward Peters, 70, passed away on December 17, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1955, in Terre Haute to Forest and Eileen Peters. He married Cindy Strain on September 19, 1975.

Mike was a 45-year member of the Local 150, and he became a superintendent at ARP. He loved fishing, boating on the river, camping, and traveling. He also enjoyed music around a campfire. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife Cindy Peters of 50 years, children Leann Cutright (Jeremy), Amanda Theisz (Adam), Stacy Peters, and Alicia Jones (Brandon); grandchildren Briar Smith, Lindsay Cutright, Jason Cutright, Addie Jones, Kendyl Jones, and Kylie Theisz; siblings Charles "Dink" Peters (Jessi), Margaret "Maggie" Hay, and Donna Jean Linville; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Forrest "Pete" Peters, sister-in-law Brenda Peters, and brother-in-law Tim Hay.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm at DeBaun Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 1pm. Pastor Jim Pendleton will be officiating. Burial to follow at New Harmony Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
