Michael K. McCormick, 65, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 at 7:00 pm in his residence. He was retired from the US Federal Penitentiary. Michael also spent 13 years in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was born August 4, 1950 in Chicago, IL to David T. McCormick and Kathleen (Denny) McCormick. He is survived by sisters, Sharon Turpen and her husband Don of Sullivan, IN and Cindy Presnell of West Terre Haute; a brother, David H. McCormick and his wife Linda of Terre Haute; nieces and nephews, Michele, Melissa, Matthew, Aaron, Cody, Nathan, and Codie; a special aunt, Helen Mancuso of Terre Haute and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be Friday July 24, 2015 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E, Springhill Dr. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Deacon Michael Stratman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors provided by the Vigo County veterans honor Guard. The family would like to say Thank You to Michael's caregiver, Cindy Sprague.
