Michael Gene Gabbard, 54, of Terre Haute passed away at 4:44 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015. He was born on December 31, 1960 to Charles Gabbard, Jr. and Alice (Oricks) Gabbard. Michael is survived by his son, John Michael Gabbard; grandchildren Emily and Braxton; brothers and sisters Chet Gabbard, Charles Gabbard, Terry Gabbard, Randy (Elizabeth) Gabbard all of Terre Haute; Elsie Bunch of Bedford, Debbie (Albert) Glaspie, Ella Reely, Connie (Mark) Vester, and Diana (Jimmy) Shorter all of Terre Haute. He also has several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Donald Gabbard, Robert Gabbard, Timmy Gabbard, Carolyn Willis, and Pat Black. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
