Michael James Burns age 57 passed away Saturday April 2, 2016. He was born on January 2, 1959 in Aurora, Illinois to Richard Patrick Burns and Donna Davenport Burns. Mike was a journeyman pipefitter and a 36 years member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union 157 and employed as a superintendent for Freitag Weinhardt . Survivors include his wife of 16 years Barbara Roshel Burns, brothers Dan and wife, Carol, and P.J. and wife Melissa all of Terre Haute, IN and Tim and wife, Laura of Boca Raton, FL and sister Molly Liebermann and her husband Scott. Barbara's children Rob Mann and wife Jodi, Tim Mann, Sonya Mann, Greg Roshel and wife Christina. Nieces and nephew Alyson Sturm, Sarah Burns, Anna Liebermann, Emily Liebermann and Ryan Liebermann. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Daniel Burns. Mike spent his life as the go to guy for all things mechanical, starting with his shade tree garage all the way through his current craft of pipefitting for which he had a great passion. His enthusiasm and interest in helping those that asked was very appreciated and will be sorely missed. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6th, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Funeral services will be on Thursday April 7th at 10:00 am with Reverend Drew Downs officiating and burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery following. Those wishing to remember Mike are asked to make contributions to the Terre Haute Humane Society or the charity of their choice.
