Merle Francis Jones Walls Ellinger,95, passed away on May 2, 2020 at Springhill Village Nursing Home with her sister at her side.  She was born Oct 31, 1924 in Terre Haute to Thomas H. Jones and Anna Yeager Jones.  Merle is survived by her son Donald Lee Walls; sister Gayla Jones Crum; grandchildren Lindsay and Dustin McLemore, Erin and Jason Mulanax; great-grandchildren Sam Mulanax, Jack and Wyatt McLemore. Merle was preceded in death by both parents; husbands Fredrick Walls and John Ellinger; son Steven Walls; brothers Arthur Jack Jones, Leon Duby; sisters Ilene Stowe, Mary Bickel, and half-sister Dorothy Price and Marjory Presley.  Merle enjoyed her home cooking, working with flowers, decorating her home, going shopping with friends, travel, and loved her church.  Merle's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice for the care they received.  A visitation for Merle will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Friday, May 8th from 1:00-2:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be left at DeBaunFuneralHomes.com
