Melinda Kathleen Sallee, 85, of Evansville and formerly of Terre Haute passed away at her residence in Evansville Thursday January 22, 2015 at 2:30 am. She taught at Riley Elementary School in Vigo County. Melinda was born April 5, 1929 in Altamont, IL to Albert Miller and Nora (Milleville) Miller. She is survived by a daughter, Christina Sallee of Evansville; a son, Randall Sallee of Terre Haute; a brother, Howard Miller and his wife Scherril of Effingham, IL, and a sister-in-law, Helen "Jo" Miller of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Roger Wayne Sallee, who died around 12 hours prior to her. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Monday January 26, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Christ Lutheran Church, 2332 Poplar St. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the church with Reverend Donna Glazier officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard. DeBaun Funeral Home, Springhill Chapel is in charge of arrangements
