Mary Annette Thompson, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away at 5:11 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in her residence. She was born in Terre Haute on August 24, 1932 to Joseph Clark and Mary Laurent Clark. Mary was a retired claims representative with the Social Security Administration and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, John Thompson (Wife Beth), and a daughter, Lynn Kellett (Husband Tom). Also surviving is her granddaughter, Sarah Thompson, a brother, Joseph Clark, and a sister, Patricia Bell, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Malcolm Thompson, who preceded her in death in 1992. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM, with Father Bernie LaMontagne officiating. Burial will follow in Hull Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Catholic Charities or the Terre Haute Humane Society, in her memory.
