Mary Kathryn "Kate" Drake, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday May 30, 2019 at 7:20 am in The Wyndmoor. She was born October 28, 1926 in Farmersburg to William Herr and Marie (Jewell) Herr. Kate is survived by daughters, Lana Frazier (Mark Howell) and Carol Isles (James) both of Terre Haute; a son, David Drake (Kathie) of West Terre Haute; a sister, Corrine Irwin; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Drake who died April 11, 2007 and a sister, Velma Milbourn. Kate was a lifelong member of Southside Church of Christ, a past member of Terre Haute Senior Bowling League. She golfed at Rea Park for several years and had previously worked at Hulman and Company and The National Literary Publishing Company. Visitation is Monday June 3, 2019 from 12:30 until 2:30 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 2:30 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Clark Cowden officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either Southside Church of Christ or Heart to Heart Hospice.
