Mary L. Helton, 78, of Terre Haute passed away July 30, 2013 in Union Hospital. She was born in San Antonio, TX on December 30, 1934 to Frank and Charity Ross Kelley. Mrs. Helton was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Alva E. Helton, Sr., a son Jerome E. Helton, and a sister Dorothy Howell. She is survived by a daughter Lori Kinney and her husband Douglas, and a son Alva E. Helton, Jr. and his wife Deninne. Her grandchildren are Rufus James Pace, Jr., Amber Pace, Michelle D. Helton, Joshua Helton, Ryan Wisbey, Jordan Helton, Elise Helton, and Deirdre Dugan. She also has six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
