Mary Amelia Browning, 93 of Terre Haute, passed away at 4:49 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Union Hospital. She was born in Clay County, IN on July 2, 1923 to Nicholas F. and Beatrice L. Kiefner. Mary was a Foster Parent and had previously worked at Hulman & Co. and Quaker Maid. Survivors include her foster daughter, Kathleen Yvonne Wilson, to whom she was very dedicated, and special cousin, Maxine Bedwell, as well as several other cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fayette Browning, and siblings Ray Kiefner, Wanda Yocum, Mabel Kiefner, and Ernie Kiefner. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Tim Fagg officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
