Martin Bostrom (97) of Terre Haute, formerly of Orland Park, IL, died at Westminster Village on April 1, 2023. He was born in Detroit (Highland Park), MI, July 21, 1925, to Carl Bostrom and Mae Thompson Bostrom.

He was a retired sales and marketing executive and WWII veteran who served as a sailor on a Liberty Ship in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters and was present for the D Day invasion at Normandy, France. He volunteered for many years at Union Hospital chaplain's office and Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Martin was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Bliss Bostrom, and one daughter, Janet (Eric) Hansen of Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by three children: Bonnie (James) Horner of West Bloomfield, MI; Barry (Carole) Bostrom of Terre Haute; and Eric (Teddi) Bostrom of Denton, TX. He has seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Martin attended World Gospel Church, served on the elder board and evangelism committee, and was a regular greeter at the morning worship service.

The funeral service will be Good Friday, April 7, 2023 at noon, at the Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Budd Road, near the intersection of Lafayette Street and U.S. Hwy 41, North Terre Haute; Barry Bostrom officiating.
