Marsha Lynn (Gresham) Bennett went to be with Jesus on September 29, 2026. She was born in Terre Haute on February 18, 1953, to William S. Gresham, Sr. and Ruth I. (Dewey) Gresham.

Marsha was a proud member of the Wiley High School Class of 1971, and she enjoyed spending time and reminiscing with her school friends. From a young age, she enjoyed drawing and music. As she grew into adulthood, she developed her skills in both areas. Marsha had a beautiful singing voice and played the guitar and piano, even composing and recording her own songs. No doubt she joined Heaven’s choir singing praises to the Lord.

On December 6, 1984, she married Jack E. Bennett. They had many adventures together including several years as caretakers of Prairie Creek Park. They became actively involved in Pioneer Days reenactments of life in days gone by. Jack preceded her in death on March 2, 2015.

Marsha is survived by her brother William “Bill” S. Gresham, Jr. and wife Susan, sister Deborah E. Jones, five nephews, stepdaughter Belinda Bennett, lifelong friend Barb Page, and her beloved dog Chewy.

She was a woman of great faith with a big heart and infectious laugh. She will be missed by family and friends.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:8).

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Justin Wassel officiating. A private burial will follow.
