Marlene J. Smith, 78 of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:21 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. She was born in Greene County, IN on February 17, 1937 to Lloyd Brown and Alice Davies Brown. Marlene was the Assistant Professor of Nursing at I.S.U. and a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Val Joe Smith (& wife Toni). She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Lloyd Dean Brown. In keeping with her wishes, there are no services and cremation has been chosen. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory.
