Mark Lee Royer 92, of Terre Haute, passed away at Meadows Manor East, Terre Haute, on Saturday, April 30, 2017.
Mark was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 10, 1925. He was the son of Hervey and Hildred Royer of Terre Haute. Mark earned his Education Degree from Indiana State University and was a former teacher at North Central High School in Sullivan, Indiana. Mark was a motorcycle enthusiast and opened and operated a BMW motorcycle sales business on SR 63 South in Terre Haute, M&R Motorcycle sales. Mark sold vehicles from this location for over 50 years.
Mark loved motorcycling and frequently took trips with his friends Tim Banks and Jerry Tiller, in fact Mark rode until he was 91 years of age. Through the years Mark attended various churches throughout Terre Haute and is currently a member of Northside Wesleyan Church in Terre Haute. In 1958, Mark married Maxine Hedges who passed in 2006. Mark remarried in 2008 to Sarah Hartzler of Terre Haute.
He leaves behind his wife, Sarah Royer; his nephews, Jim Royer, Ed Royer, Kenny Royer, Larry Royer, and one niece Rita McKinney.
Friends may call at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, Terre Haute on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Hayes of Northside Wesleyan Church presiding. Burial will be at a later time in Oak Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
