Mark Joseph
Pate
May 1, 1988 — Oct 5, 2026
Farmersburg
Mark Joseph Pate, 38, was loved by many and will be remembered for his goofy, silly, funny personality and the way he would make everyone around him smile. He was outgoing, creative, and an incredibly hard worker-but the greatest joy of his life was his daughter, Mia.
Mark’s days were centered around Mia. When he wasn’t working, he was with her. After work, he would come straight home and the two of them would head outside to play-tag, catch, basketball, or whatever adventure they would dream up. Weekends belonged to Mia too. After their time outside, they would come in, shower, share a meal, and watch a movie together. To Mark, those everyday moments were everything.
He was more than Mia’s dad, he was her best friend, her playmate, and her biggest cheerleader. He loved going to her games and being there for every new adventure. Mark gave her his time, his laughter, and all the love in his heart.
Mark will be deeply missed by the many people who loved him. His warmth, humor, and devotion to Mia will live on in the memories they made together and in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tasha Pate; his daughter, Mia; his stepsons Journey and Jaxson; his mother Tammy Pate; his father, Mike Pate (Andela); his sister, Amanda Thomas (Josh); his brother, Tristan Pate; his sister Ashton Youngstrom (Noah); and his beloved nieces, Anna and Chloe.
