Mark Lee Barker, 65 of Bowling Green, IN, passed away at 12:08 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Terre Haute to Kenneth Maurice Barker and Helen Louise Snedeker Barker. Mark was a printing press operator at Bemis. He is survived by his wife Rena Barker, his son Neil Barker (wife Stacey), and his daughter Raina Heckelsberg (husband Ron). Also surviving are five grandchildren; Colton Barker, Griffin Donnar, Gabe Donnar, Austin Heckelsberg, and Wyiatt Heckelsberg. Other survivors include his four siblings; Cindy Simpson, Jay Barker, Sherie Barker, and Kent Barker, father-in-law Rene Lemmons, and brother-in-law Kenny Lemmons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Pauline Lemmons, and sister-in-law Kathy Lemmons. Family was very important to Mark, he was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed traveling to the Rocky Mountains. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Home & Crematory.
