Marilyn Joan Helderman (née Dyer), 80, of Linton, Indiana, transitioned into glory to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Born on June 25, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Miller and Nora Dyer (nee Salesman). Marilyn was a proud graduate of the Union High School Class of 1964 in Dugger, Indiana. She spent her career working for 34 years at RCA, 6 years Hall Signs, 5 years at Indiana University, and MCCSC Clear Creek from which she later retired.

An avid reader and a woman of deep faith, Marilyn was an active member of the Word of Life Fellowship. She treasured her family, especially her extended family, and loved nothing more than playing games with her beloved grandchildren.

Marilyn was married to Thomas Stickels until his passing in 2006. On September 8, 2017, she married Ronald Helderman of Linton, Indiana, who survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Harley Dyer, sister Pasty Ross; her former husband, Thomas Stickels; and her stepson, Martin Helderman.

Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family, including her husband, Ron; her stepsons, Travis Stickels of Bloomington and Robert (Linda) Helderman of Newberry; her stepdaughter, Ronanna (Bruce) Hanson of Bloomfield; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Word of Life Fellowship, 4713 East State Road 54, Bloomfield, Indiana 47424. Brother Eugene Helms will facilitate the service.
