Marilyn Jean Hancock, 91, of Linton, Indiana and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Monday October 24, 2022 in her residence. She retired as manager of the Southland Branch of the Vigo County License Bureau. Marilyn was born October 6, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Anna (Lawton) Wineinger. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Hancock of Mitchell, Indiana; son, Dennis Wayne Hancock and wife Bell of Linton, Indiana; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, whom she married November 11, 1950, Wayne David Hancock, who died July 6, 2019, Marilyn was a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church and the Republican Women's Club. She had also previously work at General Electric. Also Marilyn was proud to have been commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Home.
