Marie F. Turner, 93, lifetime Terre Haute resident passed away on August 5, 2013. She was born on June 20, 1920 to Earl and Alma Tetzel Utz. Mrs. Turner was a retired telephone operator for Quaker Maid and had done alterations in her home before opening her own business, Kingwood Interior. She was a member and past president of the Women's Department Club, Past Honored Lady of the Zorah Shrine, and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded by her husband, Lorenzo H. Turner, III in 1995, her son Lanny Turner in 2000, and two brothers Richard Utz and Robert Utz. She is survived by a longtime family friend Jeff Blake, nieces Carol Hartson of Staunton, IL, Rita Karlsten of California, Sue McKinley and Georgia Foulkes both of Terre Haute; and nephew Jim Utz of California. Memorial services will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until services.
