Marie I. Scherr, 95, of Terre Haute passed away Friday January 3, 2025 in Signature Health Care. She retired from Standard Register. She was born June 12, 1929 in Yellow Hammer, Illinois to Theodore G. and Daisy (Bitner) Ratts. Marie is survived by her son, Sam Scherr (Carol); grandchildren, Cody Scherr, April Jeffries, Ashley Fink, and Steven Fink (sherry); nine great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren and brother, Glenn Ratts. She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Scherr, who passed in 1994; daughter, Barbara Fink; sons, Daniel Scherr and Michael Scherr; sisters, Martha Price and Delores Krable Downing.  Marie enjoyed being outdoors camping, mushroom hunting, and fishing. She loved watching her soap operas. She really loved feeding the family at Sunday dinners. Visitation will be Wednesday January 8, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Swan officiating.
