Marie Jeanette Brown, 65, of Terre Haute passed away January 31, 2017 in Kindred Transitional Care.

Marie was born March 23, 1951 in Terre Haute to William Royer and Mary A. Christman Royer.

Marie was adopted and raised by Aunt Pauline and Walter E. Sanders.

She was a cafeteria worker for the Vigo County School Corporation. Marie was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and volunteered in various roles for the church. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening and cross-word puzzles. She was known as "The Popcorn Lady" at Fuqua Elementary School. Marie loved Phillip and Jocelyn's dog, Toby.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Marie is survived by her sons, Michael Brown and Phillip Brown and his wife, Jocelyn; and her grandson, Noah, who's on his way. She is also survived by her brother, James Seprodi, two nephews and one niece and many cousins.
