Lydia L. Stewart, 76 of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 4:46 Am in Harrison Crossing. She was born in Terre Haute, IN on July 28, 1940 to Joseph C. Stewart and Virginia Ballantyne Stewart. Lydia was a 1958 graduate of Garfield High School, DuPage County Community College, and Loyola University-Chicago, and was a member of Maple Ave. United Methodist Church. She retired in 2002 as Director of Patient Relations, Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents John and Mary Ballantyne—by whom she was raised, sister Phyllis, brother John, and two special aunts, Maxine Cordell (husband Ralph), and Barbara Reeves (husband Jack). Lydia is survived by cousins Frank M. Reeves and wife Melody and their family, Jack L. Reeves and wife Martha and their family, James Byers and wife Marilyn, and Richard Byers. Funeral services will be held at Roselawn Mausoleum on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 12 Noon, with Pastor David Rockhill officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
