Louise Shirley Cruse, 91 of Lincoln, NE and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Martin House of Tabitha in Lincoln, NE. She was born in Adair County, KY on April 5, 1923 to Samson Browning and Kate Antle Browning. On June 21, 1941 she married Herman Leslie Cruse, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2000. Mrs. Cruse retired from Reuben H. Donnelley in Terre Haute. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Bretz (husband Randall) of Lincoln, NE and Polly Duke (her husband, William H. Duke, passed away in August 2003), of Carmel, IN. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Andrew Bretz of Lincoln, NE, Jason Bretz, of Princeton, MN, Benjamin Bretz of Austin, TX, Thomas Duke of Carmel, IN and Amy Duke also of Carmel, as well as 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 9, 2014 from 9:00 -10:00 AM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
