Lori A.
Montgomery
Sep 17, 1964 — Aug 20, 2026
Terre Haute
Lori A. Montgomery, 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 20, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 17, 1964, Lori lived her life with a love for her family that was at the heart of everything she did. Lori was a proud graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. She loved to shop, stay busy, and was always on the go. She never seemed to sit still for long and could often be found doing something for the people she loved. Lori was a mother, grandmother, and a friend who was deeply loved by so many. She is survived by her children, Lacy Montgomery (Landon) and Jeremy Montgomery (Amanda); her special friend, Kristina Montgomery; sister, Sharon; brother, Gary (Reva); aunts and cousins. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her nine grandchildren lovingly knew her as Nana; Darrin, Des Marie, Lilly, Gunner, Kenzleigh, Remi Willow, Danyeal, and EllyMae. To them, she was simply Nana-the one who loved them fiercely, spoiled them when she could, and made sure they knew how much they meant to her. Lori is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and Bob Hughes, her husband, James Montgomery, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lori will forever be remembered for her love of family, her busy spirit, her love of shopping, and the many lives she touched throughout the years. Though her family and friends will miss her more than words can express, the love she gave them will remain in their hearts. To so many, she wasn’t just Lori—she was Nana. She was deeply loved, she will be tremendously missed, and her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly. A Celebration of Life honoring Lori will be held at a later date, Details will be announced when arrangements have been finalized. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
