Loretta J. Morris, 89 of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:50 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Union Hospital. She was born in West Terre Haute on July 26, 1926 to Joseph O. Cox and Mary Smith Cox. Loretta was a member of Prairie Park Baptist Church, and retired from housekeeping at Westminster Village, and was a cat lover. She is survived by two sons, George G. Morris and Gregory I. Morris, and by six daughters; Sandra McKamey, Elizabeth Christenberry, Janet A. Lamb, Glenda D. Grant, Karen F. Graham, and Nelda L. Stevens. Also surviving is one brother, James S. Cox, and one sister, Thelma Fulk, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers; Marshall Cox, Joseph Cox, Donald Cox, Robert Cox, and Richard Cox, as well as three sisters; Anna J. Spitler, Esther Schafer, and Virginia Walls. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Allen McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will take place at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm in the funeral home.
