Lois E. Benton, of West Terre Haute, passed away May 8, 2014 in Frankfort, IN surrounded by friends and family. She was born January 31, 1932 in Sandford to Roy and Ola (Howell) French and they have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband James Benton on April 26, 2007 and her son Larry Benton in 2004. She retired from the production department of Quaker Maid and had belonged to the West Terre Haute VFW # 6574 Auxilliary and the West Terre Haute Young Men's Club Auxilliary. Her survivors are a daughter Terry Wyer and husband Rick; grandsons Jamie Smith and wife Christina and Darren Wyer and wife Trish; great-grandchilren Taylor, Connor, Jessica, and Alexis. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Pisgah Cemetery, rural West Terre Haute. Immediately following the services there will be a Gathering of Friends at the West Terre Haute VFW Post.
