Linda L. Tewell, 83, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectantly Sunday September 20, 2026 in Union Hospital. Linda retired from Columbia house and later worked for the Vigo County School Corporation. She was born December 22, 1942 in Terre Haute to Kenneth and Irene (Lee) Williams. Linda is survived by her husband, Enoch “Butch” Tewell; daughter, Cheryl Chandler (Brent); sons, Brent Smith (Teri) and Michael Tewell (Chris); brother, Max Williams; grandchildren, Tara Dunnick (Bryon), Rachel Hemminghouse (Lee). Megan Loveall (Dustin), Kaitlin Hodges (Parker), Brie Caufman (William), Kyle Joyce (Nicole), Michael Bailey (Jordyn), Jessica Mager (Josh), Austin Tewell (Allison), and Amara Savant (Tony); 19 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Brenda Williams and Joyce Williams and a large extended family including nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents her two older brothers and her twin brother. Graveside services at Oak Hill Cemetery are pending with DeBaun Funeral Home.
