Linda S Chopson Benson, 80, of Terre Haute passed away at her home with family on March 18, 2018 at 8:23 A.M. She was born on November 21, 1937 to Daniel Levi Chopson and Hazel Lucile Churchill Chopson.  She is preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Robert P. Benson; one son Robert Benson Jr "Pete"; daughters Sheri Leslie and Terri Hoffman; Brother Franklin Chopson; and grandchild Jirimy Vanatti.  Linda is survived by her son Rocky Benson; daughter Kimmala Vanatti (Sandy Sanders) brother Daniel Chopson of San Diego; sisters Becky Neff (Dave) and Naia Lawson; sister-in-law Mary Lou Chopson; Grandchildren Shad, Cari, Broc, Marjorie, Hannah, Monique, and Dalton; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. she worked at Orpheum hair salon for many years. Linda also owned and operated Shear Odyssey. Linda was past president of of the women's auxiliary for the Eagles as well as the American Legion.  She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, softball, tennis, as well as many other sports.  Family has chosen cremation for Linda with a memorial service on Saturday, April 14  at 1:00 p.m.with visitation at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow services at Calvary Cemetery.
