Lew M. Van Reed Jr., (99), of Terre Haute, died on November 4, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. He was a realtor employed in sales with Newlin Johnson Co. and as a mortgage loan appraiser with First Financial Corp. (Terre Haute First Bank). He was born in Terre Haute on August 18, 1920, to Lew M. Van Reed and Pauline (Bryant) Van Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zola (Roush) Van Reed, his parents and a sister Virginia (Van Reed) Hannemann. Survivors include his son Milt (Suzanne), grandson Logan (Lisa) Van Reed and great-grandsons Lexander and Grayson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coastguard WW II, a member of American Legion Post 346, VFW Post 972, and Central Presbyterian Church. He was formerly a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 86, Sycamore Club, Rotary International, and the Lions Club. DeBaun Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and a family graveside service will be held.
