Leola Swofford, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday February 17, 2024 in her residence. She was born August 11, 1929 in Hereford, Texas to Leo and Ica (Walton) Price. Leola is survived by her daughter, Tresa Hammon; son, Larry Stovall (Linda); step-daughter, Bonnie Douglas; step-sons, Craig Swofford (Vicki) and Joe Swofford (Teri); grandchildren, Angi Davis, Jason Hammon, and Aaron Stovall; step-son-in-law, Roy Maines; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her first husband, Rondel Stovall; second husband, Huey Swofford; stepdaughter, Becky Maines, and her three sisters and one brother. Leola was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Rosedale New Mexico High School and a 1969 graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was also a big fan of the Indiana Pacers. Visitation will be Saturday February 24, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm in First Southern Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 12:00 pm in the church with Pastor Jonathan LaFleur officiating.
