Leila M. Thomsom, 89, of southern Vigo County died August 19, 2026 at Union Hospital. She was born September 8, 1936 in Barnett, Missouri to Charles and Ada (McCasland) Calton. She retired from Midland Glass as an inspector. Her husband, Bobbie G. Thomson preceded her on April 10, 2001. Her survivors are a daughter, Gloria Thomson, a son Cameron Thomson and his wife Brenda, brother Lonnie Calton and his significant other Phyllis Howard, sisters Wanda Grace Gibbs of MO and Ruby Gardner of CA, grandchildren Leslie Yocum (Jeff) and Cameron Thomson (Wesley), great-grandchildren Maxwell Yocum, Hewitt Thomson, Elliette Thomson, Sarah Yocum and Lilly Yocum. She was also preceded by an infant son Gregory W. Thomson on October 6, 1959 and brothers and sisters Nellie Hensley, John Henry Calton, Sarah Jane Tombs, Barbara June Thompson, Frank Calton, Billy Don Calton, Betty Lou Shackleford, Irene Calton and Bobby Calton.
