Lee was born January 24, 1939, in Linton, Indiana, the third and youngest son of Walter and Eva Marie (Jewell) Wentz, joining brothers Robert (Bob) and Ivan. Grandchildren are Bret (Shorf) Syrek, Conner Syrek, Katie (Adam) McGowan, Vanessa Wentz, Dominic Wentz, and great-grandson, Spencer McGowan.
