Lawrence Roy Dultz, M.D., was born October 19, 1960, to Norman Dultz and Thea (Brenner) Dultz in Newark, NJ. Lawrence grew up in New Jersey, moving briefly to New York and back before settling in Indiana. He passed away February 21, 2025.

Dr. Dultz graduated from Union High School, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After graduating from medical school, he completed an internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center and a residency at Morristown Medical Center. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook in New York. Larry married his medical school classmate, Margaret E. Pappas, in 1990. They were married for 31 years until Margaret's passing in 2021. They are survived by their three daughters: Caroline Rebecca Przybylowski (and her husband Thomas Przybylowski), Elizabeth Rachel Dultz, and Sarah Catherine Dultz.

Lawrence and Margaret spent their adult lives and careers in Terre Haute, IN, dedicated to their patients, their practices, and their family. Dr. Dultz was a well-respected physician certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, who practiced at UAP Clinic until 2020 at which time he retired to become Margaret's caregiver following her diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. He was a devoted husband and caregiver, tirelessly ensuring she was felt safe, cared for, and loved.

Larry had many interests and hobbies, including astronomy, motor vehicles and car racing, and physical fitness. He was, however, particularly proud of his commitment to the community, including his work through Union and Regional hospitals and charitable efforts. These included support for Rose Hulman's astronomy program and the rebuilding effort for CANDLES Holocaust Museum in 2005.

Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in honor of Dr. Dultz to the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia. Cards of sympathy may be sent to the funeral home and will be forwarded to the family.
