Larry D. Eyre, 64, of Prairie Creek passed away Saturday February 27, 2016 at 8:04 am in his residence. He retired after 30 years with the Laborers Local #204. Larry was born February 9, 1952 in Terre Haute to Earl Eyre and Pearl (Frye) Eyre. He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Vera) Eyre; children, Gwen Eley (Travis), Frank Green, Larry Eyre, Jr., Debra Stewart, Jennifer Anderson, Chrystal Henry, and William Stewart; siblings, Bill Eyre (Helen), Ann Gill (Charlie), Buck Eyre, and Debbie Franklin (Ben); grandchildren, Kirsten Noll, Kristopher Noll, Kaylee Eyre, Karlee Eyre, also eight more grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Chester. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosie. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring old tractors, country rides (where he liked to look for old tractors to restore), and most of all he loved watching TV with his dog Chester. Visitation will be Wednesday March 2, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
