Kevin John Frank passed away at home surrounded by his family on October 26, 2026 at 12:05am following a courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma that spanned more than seven years. Throughout his illness, Kevin remained determined to live life on his own terms, continuing to work, spend time with his family, and make the most of the time he was given.
Kevin was born June 20, 1976, in Danville, IL. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Casey Frank; sons, Owen and Oliver Frank; mother, Joan Frank; siblings Karina (Brian) Parke and Mark (Vicki) Frank; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Frank, and his grandparents.
Kevin graduated from Western Illinois University in 1999 and earned his MBA from Franklin University in 2009.
Kevin dedicated 26 years of his life to law enforcement. He spent the latter part of his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, ultimately serving as Human Resources Manager. He took great pride in his career and was respected for his experience, dedication, strong work ethic, and the relationships he built with those who worked alongside him.
More than anything, Kevin loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband of 19 years and an incredibly proud father. Some of his happiest moments were spent at the ball field or on the sidelines watching his boys.
Kevin loved traveling and making memories with his family. One of their favorite trips was an MLB ballpark tour out East. Family trips and time spent together created memories that Casey and the boys will always treasure.
Kevin had a strong personality, a memorable presence, and a way of leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
His absence leaves an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved him, but his presence will remain in the lessons he taught his boys. They will always carry a part of their dad with them.
Kevin was one of a kind — fiercely devoted, hardworking, strong, and unforgettable. There will never be another quite like him, and he will be missed more than words can say.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Owen and Oliver’s post-high school education by sending a check written in their name.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many family members and friends who supported and fed us throughout Kevin’s journey. They are especially grateful to the Bureau of Prisons family, whose kindness and generosity helped make it possible for Casey to remain home to care for Kevin.
