Kenton Warren Douglas, 74, of Sallisaw, OK passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Feb. 10, 1942, in Terre Haute. He married Julia Kay Douglas in Terre Haute. Mr. Douglas was a U.S. Navy veteran, a communication engineer for the State of Indiana, an amateur radio operator for over 50 years, and he was of the Protestant faith. Survivors are his wife, Julia of the home; one sister, Jo Ellen Karagis of Terre Haute; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Grandview Cemetery, with Martin Lloyd officiating. Services are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association for research.
